Sarah & David

A man with dark hair and beard standing with his hands in his pockets, and a woman with long red hair sitting on a low stone wall, both surrounded by greenery with trees and bushes, and a cityscape with high-rise buildings and a bridge in the background on a cloudy day.

Our Story

Sarah and David met in the summer of 2022 in San Francisco. The couple’s first date was at a little wine bar in North Beach called Bodega.

Over the next few weeks, the compatibility between the two was effortless. Every text turned into a plan. David would show up and whisk Sarah away on his chariot (revel scooter) to their next adventure (one of the many local parks to lay in the sunshine).

Sarah, having just come out of a relationship, wasn't exactly eager to jump right back into another one. David, however, was persistent. Eventually, after a little convincing and a lot of time spent together, Sarah said yes (David is a salesman by trade, after all).

In the past four years, these two have danced, awkwardly on David's part and gracefully on Sarah's, taken spontaneous drives to random small towns, planned trips to new big places, sang their hearts out at concerts, sat in every vintage chair North of California street, spent countless hours walking around the city, and moved 3 times between the two of them, the last of which, was together.

Learning how to share a home meant learning how to listen, compromise, and put ego aside. Along the way, they learned that building a life together is all about being on the same team.

Sarah has helped David become a better listener; David has helped Sarah learn when to speak up. Sarah has helped David show more of his emotion; David has helped Sarah let the small things go. And they’ve both encouraged each other to accept new challenges with open arms.

One particular challenge David faced, was the proposal. David had imagined this moment as a huge surprise. Sarah, however, saw it coming from a mile away. David walked her to Washington Square Park, just across the street from Bodega, the place where it all began.

With Sarah & David's friends hiding in the bushes and filming the whole thing, David got down on one knee. He may have had the ring box flipped upside down, but he had one thing exactly right: the ring inside.

Sarah said yes! And with that, the next chapter of life begins.

We are so incredibly grateful for all of the love and support our family & friends have given us over the years. We cannot wait to share a weekend filled with great food, drinks, dancing, laughter, and love with all of our favorite people.
